Ayn Rand Essay Contest Scholarships
The Ayn Rand institute will award over $80,000 in scholarship prize money this year. Regardless of your year in school, you are invited to enter to win one of over 500 scholarship awards.
These contests are open to students worldwide. Essay must be no fewer than 800 and no more than 1,600 words in length, and must be typewritten and double-spaced. Only one entry per student is allowed.
Essays will be judged on both style and content. Judges will look for writing that is clear, articulate and logically organized. Winning essays must demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the philosophic meaning of the novel. Learn more at www.aynrand.org
ATLAS SHRUGGED Essay Contest
Atlas Shrugged explores a dystopian United States where leading industrialists and businessmen refuse to allow the government to exploit their labor for the general good. The protagonist, Dagny Taggart, sees society collapse around her as the government increasingly asserts control over all industry, while the most productive citizens in society, led by the mysterious John Galt, progressively disappear.

$500 will be mailed to you in August upon enrollment, the other $500 will be mailed to you in January upon enrollment
* You must be a Farm Credit of Western Arkansas member OR child of a current member OR grandchild of current member
* Current college students who have at least one year remaining at a fully-accredited college, university, or trade program. This includes graduate-level programs. Scholarships are inteded for full-time enrollment for 2013/2014,

The Eight and Forty Lung and Respiratory Disease Nursing Scholarship Fund
The Eight and Forty Lung and Respiratory Disease Nursing Scholarship was established to assist registered nurses with advanced preparation for positions in supervision, administration or teaching. Students must have employment prospects in specific positions in hospitals, clinics or health departments upon completion of their education, and the position must have a full-time and direct relationship to pediatric lung and respiratory control.
Scholarship awards are $3,000 each.
Applicants must have a current registered nurse license.
Deadline for application is May 15, and recipients are announced July 1.
